SG2 Recruiting is supporting Burnt Toast Labs, a Reston, VA federal contracting organization, to identify Systems Administrators to join their team in a direct-hire capacity. Sys Admins are the backbone of the IT system. They build the cloud and enable others to focus on engineering and development of new systems and methods. If you join the Burnt Toast team you will build the next generation infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing engineered solutions under the supervision of the Senior System Engineer. You will aid in research and analysis of open source and customer-provided data and systems. You are a SysAdmin rock star if you are able to reverse-engineer existing systems and aid in deriving optimized solutions to integrate applications, systems, and workflows that support the desired goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • TS/SCI US Government Clearance and the ability to obtain and maintain a poly
  • 2+ years of general SysAdmin experience
  • 4+ years of experience acquiring, reviewing, and releasing approved baseline releases, builds, and patches for servers or workstations using automated and manual methods
  • Experience with designing, deploying, managing, and configuration virtual and physical server environments using CentOS 6+ and CentOS 7+
  • Hands on experience working with developers to deploy Java systems that are using PKI, x509, and TLS for Single Sign-on capability
  • Hands on experience working with the following: CentOS 6, 7; S3 and EC2; Apache Tomcat; HAproxy; X509 Certs; TLS/SSL Certs; JAVA (WAR files); Python, Bash; VMware (ESX); and the integration between legacy and OpenShift deployments.
  • CompTIA Security + CE or any IAT Level II baseline certifications (DoD 8570.IATII)
  • Hands on experience with configuring Apache Proxy, Tomcat Server(s), and AWS deployments
  • Hands on experience working in a remote environment with physical and virtual machines and servers
  • Demonstrated passion regarding relevant technical trends, experimentation and knowledge assimilation
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects concurrently using best practice methodologies
  • Ability to identify opportunities to improve system administration
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Ability to work with leadership and clients to identify and revise approaches
  • Experience providing technical direction and guidance regarding design and implementation
  • Experience assisting with and/or coordinating the activities of others to meet over-arching client program requirements
  • Experience developing and delivering formal customer presentations and proposals
  • Experience coordinating project status with highly technical stake holders, technical managers and government leaders
