Senior Test Engineer

Clearance Level Required:

Top Secret with the ability to obtain SCI, as well as a Polygraph.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Test Planning & Execution:Develop, document, and execute manual test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on system requirements and user stories.
• Functional Testing:Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
• API Validation:Validate RESTful APIs using the available tools.
• Defect Management:Identify, document, track, and verify defects.
• Requirements Analysis:Analyze system requirements and user stories to ensure complete test coverage and identify edge cases.
• Test Documentation:Maintain traceability matrices, test artifacts, and supporting documentation in accordance with program standards.
• Collaboration:Work closely with developers and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, and validate fixes.

Basic Qualifications:

• US citizenship is required per contract.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 8-12 years of relevant experience; or Master’s degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing.
• Strong experience developing and executing manual test cases.
• Experience testing web-based applications and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools and test management systems.
• Working knowledge of RESTful services, HTTP, JSON, and web application workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to automated testing frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Cypress, Selenium).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release processes.
• Familiarity with security or compliance-focused testing practices.
