Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure all AV and UC system's meet DoD cybersecurity and STIG compliance requirements
- Plan system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts with Microsoft Visio
- Installs new hardware systems, and maintain operations through software updates
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Train and assist junior personnel in the use of installed AV/VTC systems
- Deploy and maintain VTC infrastructure in accordance with industry best practices to reduce downtime and cost.
- Provide customer support in assisting and providing information or updates with VTC issues.
- Coordinate with COR regarding VTC issues affecting ACC MAJCOM customers.
- Ensure local VTC network system applications optimum configuration. Apply upgrades and patches to the VTC suite. This includes installing upgrades and applying patches to all components of the VTC suite.
- Perform standard preventive maintenance on hardware as defined by the equipment vendor, ACC CSS, 83 Network Operations and Security (NOS) established procedures, and AF standard.
- Analyze existing environment and provide recommendations for load balancing, high availability, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Directs, coordinates, and evaluates various tests, including factory acceptance tests of production models for complex systems requiring a team of subject matter experts (SME).
- Analyze resiliency: how much stress the network environment that supports the VTC environments can handle and how quickly the VTC can rebound from problems.
- Maintain/monitor daily schedule of Langley VTC Bridge usage.
- Provide phone support for ACC VTC customers that use or traverse the ACC VTC infrastructure.
Job Requirements:
- Four years of continuous/current IT related experience.
- At least four years of experience with Cisco related VTC equipment (Cisco Unity CallManager, expressways, and meeting servers).
- At least 5 years of experience working with VTC.
- Working knowledge of network protocols (H.323, E164, SIP), network firewalls.
- Industry trained: background in current models of equipment (codecs, audio mux, etc.).
- An active CompTIA Security+ Level II™ Certification IAW DOD 8570.01-M.
- Shall possess and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
