Job Summary:
The AR e-Invoicing & Automation Specialist is responsible for leading continuous e-Invoice automation efforts between customers, portals, and third-party AR automation solutions. This role plays a key part in streamlining invoicing processes, reducing manual entry, and improving straight-through processing rates. The ideal candidate will serve as a liaison between internal teams, customers, and automation vendors to drive successful onboarding, troubleshoot issues, and enhance overall e-Invoicing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- e-Invoice Automation Leadership: Drive and manage continuous e-Invoicing automation between customers, billing portals, and third-party AR automation solutions. Identify customers for e-Invoicing, gather requirements, coordinate testing, and oversee go-live activities.
- Customer Onboarding & Integration: Act as the primary liaison between customers, billing portals, and AR automation providers to facilitate smooth onboarding and ensure successful integration.
- Process Optimization: Reduce manual billing portal entry by increasing e-Invoicing adoption. Implement strategies to enhance invoice automation and minimize manual intervention.
- Issue Resolution & Root Cause Analysis: Research, analyze, and resolve issues impacting e-Invoicing processing. Recommend and implement solutions to improve straight-through processing rates.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including finance, IT, and customer service teams, to resolve issues related to manual and e-Invoicing submissions.
- Billing & Invoicing Management: Ensure accurate and timely invoice generation for portal customers, meeting all customer and compliance requirements.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Monitor key performance metrics related to e-Invoicing adoption, straight-through processing rates, and manual entry reduction. Provide insights and recommendations for further improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 2+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, e-Invoicing automation, or a related role.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, e-Invoicing platforms, and Excel. Experience with AR automation tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes, recommend solutions, and implement process improvements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, coordinate testing, and oversee go-live activities in collaboration with internal and external teams.
- Strong focus on accuracy in invoice generation, automation setup, and issue resolution.
