JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a YARD DOG OPERATOR in NORTH CHARLESTON. Our client is a STORAGE FACILITY. The YARD DOG OPERATOR is responsible for operating equipment per OSHA standards in an indoor/outdoor environment.

Responsibilities of a YARD DOG OPERATOR includes:

  • Schedule: 8am-5pm
  • Operate a forklift to load/unload trailers
  • Comfortable working indoor/outdoor
  • General warehouse work (material handling, etc)
  • Clean the container yard, assist in locating/sorting parts for the repair shop
  • Operate a yard jockey to move containers around the yard
  • Move and stage containers for shipment

Job Requirements of a YARD DOG OPERATOR:

  • PPE required at all times
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliable transportation
  • Ability to work overtime
  • Cleaning the yard, office, etc
  • Sorting parts and putting them away

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

  • 2+ years yard dog experience
  • 1+ year forklift experience
  • Ability to be trained on different heavy equipment
  • Valid driver's license
