Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic X-ray exams as directed by physicians, ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
- Properly position and prepare patients to ensure high-quality diagnostic imaging results.
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
- Maintain and operate X-ray equipment to ensure proper calibration and functionality.
- Review images for quality assurance and adhere to protocols for image storage.
- Comply with radiation safety standards and infection control guidelines.
- Accurately document patient information and complete required reports.
- Collaborate with radiology and healthcare professionals to support optimal patient care.
- Stay updated on advancements in radiologic technology and imaging techniques.
Qualifications:
- Certification: ARRT certification in Radiography is required.
- Licensure: Current state licensure as mandated by law.
Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent from an accredited program.
- Experience: At least 1-2 years as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in an outpatient or clinical setting.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of radiologic procedures, anatomy, and patient positioning.
- Proficiency with imaging software and radiologic equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in outpatient or ambulatory care settings.
- BLS certification.
- Knowledge of additional imaging modalities (e.g., CT, MRI) is advantageous.
