Worship Pastor
Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Pitts Baptist in Concord, NC as they search for their next Worship Pastor. Pitts Baptist is a strong SBC church in a great location in North Charlotte. They have a rich history of staff stability, excellent programming, and a congregation of families that have multi-generations participating in the ministries of the church. The church is blended in its worship style and runs about 500+ in attendance per week.
The ideal candidate will have:
- College Degree / Seminary Degree and/or extensive music ministry experience
- A clear call from God to full-time vocational service in the ministry
- A life that is in accordance with the qualifications listed in 1 Timothy 3
- A servant’s heart and a genuine love for worship
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and coordinate the music ministry of the church
- Lead a music ministry that invites God’s people to worship and praise Him in both old and new ways
- Direct the planning, organizing, conducting, and evaluating of a comprehensive music program, including choirs, soloists, vocal and instrumental ensembles
- Use technology that seeks to enhance and enrich the worship experience
- Assist the church staff with IT needs and equipment purchases
- Supervise the work of paid and volunteer workers in the music ministry
- Prepare and administer an annual music budget
- Maintain the church’s website, including weekly sermon uploading, splash screens, and individual ministry needs as they arise
- Perform other duties, as assigned by the Senior Pastor
