POSITION OVERVIEW
Severns Valley Church is seeking a Worship Pastor to lead its worship ministry and create impactful, Christ-centered worship experiences that engage the congregation. This position involves collaborating with staff and volunteers to shape the worship culture while supporting the church's mission of discipleship, spiritual growth, and community outreach. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a heart for both worship and pastoral care, guiding the church in a unified worship direction.

- A direct and clear communicator, especially in conflict resolution
- Creative, mature, and experienced in team-based ministry environments
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, organize, and lead Sunday worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor and creative team.
- Build, equip, and disciple the Worship Ministry team.
- Lead rehearsals and coordinate musicians and vocalists for services and events.
- Oversee the maintenance of music equipment and technical needs.
- Provide worship leadership for special events like weddings and funerals.
- Manage the Worship Ministry budget and recommend annual budget plans.
- Collaborate with other church ministries, such as Celebrate Recovery and student programs.
