Worship Associate
Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Current - A Christian Church in Katy, TX as they search for their next Worship Associate. Current is a growing church in a thriving suburb of America’s third-largest city, Houston, Texas. They are a vibrant non-denominational church that currently has around 800 people in regular attendance each Sunday.
The Worship Ministry Assistant will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the Worship Team under the direction of the Worship Pastor & the Creative Arts Team both on and off the stage in Adult & Student Worship Ministries.
The right candidate will bring expertise in five key areas:
- Musical Proficiency
- Expertise in leading vocally in worship settings, as well as playing acoustic guitar (a must).
- Serving in areas such as; Main Leader or Musical Director, ensuring a cohesive and impactful worship experience.
- Administrative and Planning Skills
- General office administration.
- Use of Planning Center for preparation of worship services.
- Manages worship calendars, coordinating room reservations, production details, and overseeing green room logistics.
- Tech and Media Management
- Assist with tech support for worship services and events.
- Preparation and distribution of media, lyrics, service orders, charts, and roadmaps.
- Coordinating worship volunteer auditions and documentation of service metrics.
- Volunteer Management
- Recruiting, supervising, and coordinating worship team members, volunteers, staff, and students.
- Effective communication between the Worship and Creative Arts Ministry and other ministry areas.
- Planning and Execution
- Detail oriented in execution of worship events, as well as church wide retreats, camps, and other special events.
- Approaches ministry as a team player and eager to collaborate with the entire staff.
