Hybrid (1–2 days onsite weekly) – Reston, VA
Assignment Duration:
12 months (no opportunity for extension or conversion)

Compensation Range:
$45–$65/hour (Top rate is capped at $65/hour.)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and driven Project Manager to lead the full-cycle implementation of Workday Payroll. This individual will serve as the primary point of coordination across internal departments (HR, Payroll, Finance, IT) and third-party vendors to ensure delivery on time, on budget, and aligned with business priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the Workday Payroll implementation from initiation through deployment and post-launch support.
- Manage project scope, schedule, resources, and budget in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Translate business needs into clear project goals and deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional teams and facilitate communication across departments.
- Oversee system configuration, data migration, and integration testing.
- Ensure execution of user training, UAT, and change management plans.
- Act as the primary contact for issue tracking, risk identification, and resolution.
- Prepare and deliver regular project updates to executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure seamless integration with related systems (timekeeping, benefits, external vendors).
- Develop user manuals, training guides, and technical documentation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Active PMP certification.
- 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within HRIS or payroll systems.
- Hands-on experience managing system implementations; Workday Payroll preferred.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Experience with change management processes.
