Windows System Administrator

Job Duties / Responsibilities

• Coordinates changes, provides regular maintenance and support, improves performance of responsible systems.
• Maintains and improves delivery systems availability, functionality, and performance for multiple systems;
• Provides leadership for major system modifications and installations;
• Applies appropriate security measures;
• Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations;
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, replaces defective components when necessary;
• Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware;
• Operate consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use;
• Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software;

Candidate Skills / Requirements

• General Systems Administration – Expert
• Windows Server Concepts and knowledge – Advanced
• Data Storage Solutions knowledge and administration – (NetApp, EMC – preferred)
• Server/Storage hardware familiarity – (Dell, HP, EMC, NetApp hardware – preferred)
• VMware Administration
• Knowledge with vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platforms.
• Adept at network engineering, working knowledge of firewalls, servers, networks, and operating systems
• Citrix App and Desktop Virtualization – nice to have
