They are seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join their team!

Responsibilities:

• Lay out, position, secure parts, and fabricate material according to specifications, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and ruler
• Tack-weld or weld components and projects
• Prepare and finish workpiece using portable grinder or scraper
• Weld components in all positions
• Set up welding or other required equipment and follow Health and Safety protocols and procedures
• Inspect parts to ensure standards and specifications are met
• Perform precision layout tasks and precisely fit together their structural parts and components
• Read/work to engineered drawings and welding symbols
• Perform shop mathematical calculations when required
• Follow all plant safety guidelines, practices, and procedures
• Maintain and clean and safe work area
• Properly use all personal protective equipment
• Other duties assigned

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5 years experience as a welder/fitter or similar role
• Intermediate experience and knowledge of blueprint reading
• Intermediate ability using welding tools
• Knowledge of machine operation, cutting, sawing, drilling, and grinding parts is preferred
• Experience with forklifts and overhead crane is considered an asset
• Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively with others
• Ability to read and follow blueprints with a high level of attention to detail
• Ability to repetitively lift 25-50 lbs
