Weld Test:

First test is a T-Plate MIG & Flux test. If the first test passes visual inspection the next test is an Open Root Double Bevel Horizontal test.

For pipe, the test is a 6G 2 inch schedule 40 TIG all the way out.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dependable MIG and Flux Welder to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for welding and fabricating metal components according to blueprints, work instructions, and quality standards. This position requires strong attention to detail, safe work practices, and the ability to produce clean, consistent welds.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG (GMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on various metal components and assemblies.
• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, drawings, and work instructions.
• Set up and operate welding machines, tools, and related equipment.
• Select appropriate welding wire, gas, voltage, amperage, and welding techniques.
• Inspect welds for proper penetration, appearance, dimensions, and quality.
• Prepare, fit, and position metal parts prior to welding.
• Grind, clean, and finish welded components as required.
• Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and welding safety practices.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Report defective materials, equipment problems, or quality issues to supervisors.

Qualifications

• Previous MIG and Flux-Cored welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and welding specifications.
• Knowledge of welding equipment, materials, and basic fabrication techniques.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, calipers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in various positions for extended periods.
• Ability to safely lift and handle materials and equipment.
• Welding certification is a plus but may not be required depending on experience.

Preferred Experience

• 1–3 years of MIG/FCAW welding experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, or other metals.
• Experience with production welding and fabrication.
• Familiarity with weld inspection and quality-control procedures
