Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant Structural Engineer

Salary: $80,000 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage project teams dedicated to the design and construction of reliable water and wastewater treatment facilities.
  • Ensure projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline, achieving all project goals.
  • Coordinate project activities comprehensively, from construction administration to quality control.
  • Forge and nurture long-lasting relationships with both internal and external clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Provide tailored solutions based on a deep understanding of client needs and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to analyze structural requirements, design elements, and execute engineering solutions effectively.
  • Oversee the preparation and approval of technical documentation including reports, drawings, and specifications, ensuring highest standards of accuracy and compliance.
  • Mentor and support the professional development of junior engineers and project managers.
  • Promote and maintain a collaborative work environment that fosters learning, innovation, and high-performance among team members.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Over 6 years of experience in structural design, focusing on water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with proven experience in managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in managing teams and client relationships.
  • Experience in collaboratively working in multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Structural Engineering.
  • Professional experience in project management, with prior involvement in federal or large-scale projects.
