Water Resources Civil Engineer

Salary: DOE per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead water and wastewater projects through all phases, from initial planning and design to construction oversight and final delivery.
  • Strengthen and maintain client relationships across Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan, ensuring client satisfaction and securing repeat business.
  • Mentor and lead engineering teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Conduct detailed technical analysis and design for diverse water-related infrastructure projects.
  • Generate comprehensive technical documentation such as design reports, feasibility studies, and alternative evaluations to support project completion.
  • Develop engineering sketches, diagrams, and calculations critical to project success.
  • Review and approve contractor shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, specifications, and cost estimates to aid in project bidding and decision-making processes.
  • Engage with multiple departments to ensure a cohesive approach to project management and execution.
  • Promote ongoing team development and innovation within the practice.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 3-5 years of direct experience in water and wastewater engineering.
  • Proven track record in managing municipal infrastructure projects effectively.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D.
  • Strong command of MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong presentation abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with heightened attention to detail.
  • Residency in Northern Indiana with willingness to travel routinely to project sites in Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with GIS platforms like ArcGIS.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic modeling software such as WaterCAD and HydroCAD.
