Warehouse Manager

Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee daily operations within our furniture distribution facility. This role is responsible for managing inventory, logistics, shipping/receiving, and team leadership to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, preferably in the furniture or large goods industry, and proven ability to lead high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping of furniture products.
  • Manage inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and minimize shrinkage/damages.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules, routing, and logistics with carriers and internal teams.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve performance targets.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, sales, and customer service teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Manage warehouse layout and space utilization for optimal flow and productivity.
  • Monitor KPIs and generate reports on warehouse performance, labor, and inventory.
  • Oversee handling of returns, repairs, and special order processes specific to furniture products.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of warehouse or distribution management experience; furniture industry experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics.
  • Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) and ERP systems.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage and motivate teams in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong vendor and carrier management experience.
  • Physical ability to oversee furniture handling operations (including large, heavy goods).
  • This is a hands on role which we may require physical warehouse labor and the ability to lift and or move up to 75lbs

Preferred Skills

  • Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement experience.
  • Familiarity with furniture assembly, packaging, and last-mile delivery logistics.
  • Proven track record of driving cost reduction and operational efficiency.
