Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the EVP of an asset-based national logistics and transportation provider offering full truckload and less than truckload service, throughout the United States and Canada. Through a network of company trucks, contracted carriers, and company sales agencies, providing solutions for shippers needing truckload capacity, with a focus on temperature control, Haz-mat, and expedited transportation services.

The Warehouse Manager will oversee operations at our 100,000+ square foot warehouse in NJ. This skilled multitasker will manage the receiving, handling, storing, picking, and packing activities of the warehouse, ensuring that quality standards are met or exceeded. The warehouse manager must achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate order fulfillment, and track shipping times for our warehouse customers and to ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple facets of warehouse operations simultaneously. The warehouse manager will oversee the warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods.

Background Required:
  • Five or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees.
  • Strong familiarity with AIB Food handling processes and product recall management.
  • Experience with handling refrigerated and dry products.
  • Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Trained and managed a warehousing team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Working knowledge of workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer service.
  • Proficiency with “Extensive” WMS software
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Residence: NJ
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management.
  • License to operate a forklift.
