Vice President of eCommerce in NY

The Vice President of eCommerce is responsible for defining and executing the company’s digital commerce strategy to drive revenue growth, customer acquisition, and lifetime value across all online channels. This executive will lead the end-to-end eCommerce function, including digital merchandising, user experience, performance marketing, analytics, and platform optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

  • Develop and own the overall eCommerce strategy aligned with company growth objectives
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing cross-functional eCommerce team
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive digital transformation initiatives
  • Own P&L for the eCommerce business, including forecasting and revenue targets

Digital Commerce & Merchandising

  • Optimize online merchandising, product assortment, pricing, and promotional strategy
  • Ensure best-in-class customer journey across web and mobile platforms
  • Drive conversion rate optimization (CRO) through testing and personalization

Performance Marketing & Customer Acquisition

  • Oversee digital marketing channels including paid search, SEO, affiliate, social, email, and display
  • Manage customer acquisition cost (CAC) and return on ad spend (ROAS)
  • Partner with CRM/lifecycle teams to maximize retention and LTV

Technology & Platform Management

  • Own eCommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Salesforce Commerce Cloud) and roadmap
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams on site functionality, integrations, and scalability
  • Ensure site performance, uptime, and security best practices

Analytics & Insights

  • Establish KPIs and dashboards to track performance across funnel metrics
  • Leverage data to inform decision-making and identify growth opportunities
  • Drive a culture of experimentation (A/B testing, multivariate testing)

Customer Experience

  • Champion a seamless, intuitive, and engaging digital experience
  • Work closely with customer service, fulfillment, and operations teams
  • Ensure alignment between brand, content, and user experience

Qualifications

  • 12–15+ years of experience in eCommerce, digital marketing, or related fields
  • Proven track record of scaling online revenue in a high-growth environment
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing channels and analytics tools
  • Experience managing eCommerce platforms and digital product teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities
  • Experience in retail preferred
