Vice President of Water and Wastewater Engineering

We are seeking a visionary leader to join our team as Vice President of Water and Wastewater Engineering, based in our Austin, TX office. This pivotal role involves strategic oversight and management of water and wastewater projects across Central Texas, serving high-profile municipal clients such as the City of Austin. The successful candidate will champion innovation, growth, and profitability within our engineering division, ensuring the highest standards of service and technical excellence.

Salary: $155,000+ per year, commensurate with experience

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute strategic vision for the water/wastewater engineering division, aligning with company goals to drive growth and profitability.
  • Act as the senior technical authority, overseeing water and wastewater system projects including design, evaluation, and master planning.
  • Manage financial and technical aspects of multiple, high-impact projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Establish and maintain fruitful relationships with major municipal clients, enhancing long-term business partnerships.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering an environment of professional growth and excellence.
  • Implement quality control standards and compliance with regulatory frameworks, ensuring outstanding project outcomes and client satisfaction.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Active Texas Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
  • Proven leadership experience with a solid track record in managing engineering teams and large-scale projects.
  • Extensive experience in water treatment and wastewater projects, including pipelines, plants, and related infrastructure.
  • Detailed project resume showcasing significant achievements in municipal projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a Vice President role within the engineering sector.
  • Experience with projects and clients specific to the City of Austin and familiarity with local regulations.
  • Additional certifications or advanced training in project management or related areas.
