Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer of a full-service, multi-modal logistics provider in business since 2010.
The Vice President of Sales will lead the tactical and strategic direction of the revenue department leaders. Will work in coordination with other company business units, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the unit, establish management processes and metrics for performance, and be accountable for financial and growth performance of the commercial business development business unit. Will implement strategies for client retention and growth, while ensuring the organization’s short term and long-term goals are achieved. Will be responsible for implementing organizational structure, sales targets and quotas, and overall team makeup. Responsible for training, coaching mentoring within a collaborative environment. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offering, motivate and lead staff while optimizing costs, increasing revenues, and maximizing profitability.

- Progressive responsibility in commercial leadership within Freight Brokerage (7+ years)
- Sales Management (Interview, Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor) (5+ years)
- Sales performance Metrics (KPI’s, Client development)
- Strategic, high-level selling (New business, Contract negotiation, Account Management, C-level Interface)
- Business planning (annual sales plans, budgeting, financing, forecasting)
- Pricing and Margin for new business opportunities (RFP/RFQ responses)
- Computer Skills (Microsoft Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Education: College Graduate-BA or BS (Marketing, Business or related field)
- Residence: Chicago, IL
- Thorough understanding of Supply Chain and creating value for the customer
- Graduate degree (i.e., Masters, MBA, Logistics)
- Excellent communicator at all levels
- Collaborative
- Influential with direct reports to align with organizational direction
- High energy with a sense of urgency
- Results driven with data backed decision making abilities
