Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President Operations for a regional truckload carrier.

The Vice President of Refrigerated Operations plans, directs, coordinates, and overseas operations for a temperature-controlled fleet. Focuses on network management and optimization to increase profitability. Ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems. Collaborates with other divisions and departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives. Identifies, recommends, and implements new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resource materials. Participates in development of the overall strategic direction and annual business plan. Designs, implements, and tracks process improvements. Focus is to continue to provide the operations leadership to continue to grow and sustain the organization as one of the best in the industry. Contributes to a culture that puts safety first, taking care of people second & profitability third. Oversees the daily workflow of the operations and logistics departments. Travel 10%.

Background Required:
  • Fleet management, customer service, extended coverage, load planning (3 years)
  • Safety, CSA, DOT, FMCSA
  • ELD, EOBR
  • P&L & budgeting
  • Established standard operating procedures and metrics (KPI’s)
  • Driver retention strategies & committed to drivers
  • Industry Related Software (i.e., McLeod, Trimble, Qualcomm, PeopleNet, Omnitracs, Lytx)
  • Residence: Mankato, MN (relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • AS-400, TMW Innovative
  • Dashcams, forward and rear facing
  • Network optimization and asset utilization
  • Software implementation facilitator
  • Education: College Graduate- BA or BS (Business Management, Supply Chain Management)
