Leading manufacturer and distributor of building products is seeking a VP of Operations. This family-owned, $60M company, with nearly 300 employees, is experiencing phenomenal growth both organically and through acquisition. They expect to be near $100M in revenue in approximately 5 years. The company has a reputation for integrity, and manufacturing excellent products. The company is located in a beautiful part of Wisconsin near several major cities.
This person will be the #2 person within this organization, overseeing all operations, manufacturing, sales, and other functions. The company also has a 2nd manufacturing facility in Indiana. This person will be responsible for all strategic decisions related to the growth of the company. The company sells to contractors and distributors nationally.
Areas of Responsibility:
Budgeting and cost controls on current products/projects and new ones
Work with sales to help determine pricing for products and strategy
Make decisions on the manufacturing process as well as buying and replacing equipment
Being part of the leadership team to decide on current and new business opportunities
Past experience as an Operations Manager in construction products. Having a thorough knowledge of manufacturing best practices.
Strong financial acumen, especially in product costing and financial reporting.
Knowledge of pre-engineered buildings/post frame is a plus. As well as knowledge of window, door, and fasteners.
Past experience in accounting or finance a plus.
Past experience with logistics and Safety (OSHA).
Report directly to the President. Promotion to that role a possibility.
