Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the EVP of Supply, Pricing, and Logistics for a company that executes for customers in 40 states coast to coast, distributing over 2.4 billion annual gallons of refined fuels, propane, and lubricants. The VP of Logistics oversees a team of approximately 250 direct and indirect reports throughout company’s various regional offices. The logistics department delivers over half of Company’s annual gallons utilizing 190 transports and more than 200 drivers across 14 states. This role also manages budgeting and forecasting of annual CapEx and OpEx resources while contributing to M&A and organic growth strategies. Candidate will be responsible for customer satisfaction while increasing revenues, optimizing costs, and maximizing profitability. Utilizing modern technology and innovative improvements, the candidate will evaluate operational service and develop metrics with short- and long-term growth strategies in mind. This role requires strong financial oversite and the ability to make effective decisions based on budget and overall P&L. A key initiative will be to develop stronger SOPs and KPIs to improve business function while championing efficiency, managing staffing, workload, and performance. The VP of Logistics leads training and continuous education of the logistics division. They are also the subject matter expert on DOT audits, contract negotiations, and maintenance needs for company equipment, and driver management. This position requires up to 25% travel.

Background Required:
  • Fleet Leadership (5 yrs, 100 trucks)
