Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to SVP for a national transportation provider.

The Vice President of Driver Recruiting is responsible for leading and overseeing the direction, approaches, and strategies of recruiting class-A company drivers and Owner Operators. Oversees the departments bidding, purchase of advertising, social media recruiting and training supplies for cost effectiveness and competitiveness. Scales the recruiting organization to meet the needs of growth. Establishes programs that support the company’s culture, mission, vision, and strategy. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, develops strategic direction, as well as the hands-on execution, communication and delivery of recruiting policies, programs and practices, organizational development, recruitment, training, team member relations, and compensation. Recruit, train, mentor, and coach driver recruiters. Collaborate with brand ambassador on branding, marketing, and external advertising strategy.

Background Required:
  • Managed driver recruitment department (5 years)
  • Fleet size (400 power units)
  • Personnel management (10 associates)
  • Driver sourcing, interviewing, hiring, & on-boarding (50 drivers per month)
  • Managed annual recruiting & advertising budget
  • KPI’s & metric reporting to measure success
  • Strategic business planning & tactical execution
  • Purchased advertising & measure lead generation (i.e. social media, mobile app)
  • TenStreet - Applicant tracking system
  • Computer Literate: Microsoft suite (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Residence: Minneapolis, MN (relocation assistance)
