A successful hotel management and asset company is looking to bring on a talented Vice President of Construction to provdes day to day management and oversight of all development and capital improvement projects throughout the Company’s hotel portfolio. This position manages/facilitates functional programming, facilities design and construction of capital projects utilizing skills to direct and control human, physical and fiscal resources. This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced hotel professional to take over the project management and construction department of an already thriving company and help develop short and long-term strategic plans for future success.

Note: This individual will need to reside in either Dallas or a major city in Oklahoma; position will require travel for projects throughout OK and Northern TX.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Manage Projects: Oversee all phases of construction, including planning, design, and renovation
  • Develop Construction Strategies: Create and execute construction strategies that meet project budgets, schedules, and brand standards
  • Manage Resources: Manage human, physical, and fiscal resources
  • Report on Progress: Provide accurate and consistent project progress reports

Position Requirements:

  • 10+ years of applicable experience within construction, development, and/or project management
  • Hospitality-related experience
  • BA/BS in Architecture, Interior Design, Engineering, Project or Construction Management or related field in hotel/lodging industry
  • Ability to consistently make decisions in a timely manner sometimes with incomplete information and under tight deadlines and pressure
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Deep understanding of hotel positioning, design, construction methodologies, and project financing.
  • Ability to evaluate, analyze, and prioritize data in various forms and formats
  • Self-Starter with the ability to work independently and as a team
