Vice President of Ancillary Services

Seeking a dynamic and influential leader to serve as Vice President of Ancillary Services, overseeing critical support functions across multiple locations in the state of Pennsylvania. This key position is responsible for implementing and maintaining standardized operating procedures, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving operational excellence. The Vice President will provide strategic leadership to Quality Assurance, Nursing, Training, Behavioral Support, and other essential departments supporting Intellectual Disability/Autism (ID/A) operations. Critical to this role is the ability to align ancillary services with organizational goals, foster a culture of continuous improvement, and maintain high standards of care. The ideal candidate will excel in developing efficient processes, guiding cross-functional teams, and adapting to evolving healthcare landscapes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective services across the organization.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Supports the IDA Operations of Step By Step's service system through management and leadership of all ancillary departments involved in the Operations of Step By Step
    • Provides oversight of quality and compliance for all Step By Step programs
    • Provides oversight of Nursing/medical department for ID/A Service line
    • Directly oversees the Training & Development Department for all of Step By Step, including oversight and management of the WRAP Services
    • Assists with implementation of scheduling platform and implementation of electronic health records for IDA Services
    • Works directly with the Sr. VP of Operations to develop a Behavioral Support department
    • Provides oversight of assigned projects/services across service lines
    • Prepares collective performance and progress reports of projects and action plans being executed towards strategic objectives for the Executive Team
    • Executes strategic plans through actionable objectives related to operations, regulatory requirements, compliance, service delivery and access to services, manager development and program growth
    • Participates in annual strategic planning and program evaluation activities as assigned
    • Demonstrates and supports Step By Step's mission and vision through performance of job duties and responsibilities


    Skills and Specialized Knowledge and Ability:

    • Knowledge and commitment to the collection of valid and objective data
    • Demonstrates skills and abilities in the implementation and monitoring of programs and management of software and platforms including Relias
    • Knowledge of current and ongoing trends within the human service field
    • Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate mechanisms for collaborating with stakeholders and colleagues to ensure activities are carried out in the most equitable and cost-effective manner
    • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze information provided on service performance as related to the financial statement, budget, and key performance indicators which drive the service
    • Comprehensive knowledge of IDD and Behavioral Health Systems across the lifespan including laws, regulations, best practices, and principles as they apply to the provision and development of services
    • Ability to prioritize, manage, and work independently to accomplish objectives
    • Ability to exhibit cultural sensitivity and to contribute to a work environment where diversity is welcomed and supported
    • Ability to work in collaboration with the Executive Team, Service Line staff at all levels and administrative support departments
    • Creative ability to develop effective solutions to challenges and to present them in persuasive high-quality proposals in clear and concise terms

    Other Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with Executive Staff on implementation of new software services/platforms
    • Collaborate with Executive Staff on the ancillary services expansion/growth of services and follow through with the development of the framework for interfacing the existing and proposed services components
    • Assist with development and execution of a comprehensive strategic plan(s) for Step By Step, Inc.
    • Develop and cultivate relationships with leadership and all service line delivery staff
    • Ensure compliance with all Step By Step, Inc. Personnel and Departmental Policies and Procedures, State Regulations, Provider Monitoring and Accrediting body Standards. Be well acclimated and aware of ALL regulatory requirements
    • Perform all other duties as assigned

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

    (Education and/or Experience/Physical Demands/Other Skills and Abilities)

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in applicable field of study
    • Five years of experience supporting people with mental health and intellectual disabilities in community-based settings
    • Five years of management/supervisory experience or program leadership experience in the field of mental health and intellectual disabilities
