Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the SVP, Sales & Marketing for a division of one of the largest non-asset based warehousing and transportation logistics providers in the US. Actively pursue new valued business opportunities to qualify leads and customer needs, resulting in solution recommendation, negotiation and pricing. Long-term goals include new business development, account revenue growth and increasing account responsibility (array of products and level of relationship). Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability.

Background Required:
  • Third Party Logistics Sales: Contract Warehousing & Transportation Management (5 years)
  • Experience selling logistics services within the Industrial, Retail, Consumer Goods Sectors
  • Thorough knowledge of End to End Supply Chain
  • Understanding of Technological Systems (i.e., WMS, TMS)
  • Proven success executing business plan
  • Computer literate (Office suite, Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Education: 4-year Bachelor-s degree (i.e., Business, logistics or related discipline)
  • Travel: Up to 50%
  • Location: Home Office
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Third-party logistics operations
  • Knowledge of Contact Management Programs
  • Graduate degree: (i.e., Master’s, MBA)
