Vice President Sales - Beef Food Service

What you will be doing:

  • Achieve annual sales and profit plan by identifying opportunities, strategies and tactics, and executing by influencing key stakeholders within their distributors
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding annual growth plan targets and achieving division key performance indexes (KPI’s)
  • Responsible for developing, maintaining and initiating new business calls in the United States
  • Call coverage includes but is not limited to distributors, restaurants, college and university, healthcare, business and industry outlets, national accounts, vend operators and K-12 education sectors
  • Responsible for all components of distributor customer development, including selling products, product merchandising, staff training, sales meetings, food shows & sales events, promotion execution, sampling events, equipment management and gaining new item distribution
  • Existing relationships with major distributors and beef processors catering to white tablecloths restaurants, fast food chains, corporate cafeterias, major colleges and big universities, and/or airline and cruise ship industry required.
  • Report and update call coverage details within multiple databases to include computer and tablet devices
  • Achieve annual sales and profit plan by identifying opportunities, strategies and tactics, and by influencing key stakeholders within Food Service distributors & operators
  • Negotiate and execute all details of distributor marketing programs

A successful candidate for this Sales role will possess the following:

  • Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize and be able to work independently or within a team environment
  • Proven track record in developing and managing a channel with $100M+ in annual sales.
  • Ability to work well with the other C-Suite executives in order to accomplish the company’s goals
  • 15 years food service sales experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • The candidate is expected to be strategic, innovative, intuitive, self-starter and an independent go-getter.

Compensation: $230,000 plus commissions
