OVERVIEW: Essentially, you will specialize in helping clients achieve their capital markets objectives. You would lead a team that offers a comprehensive suite of services including:

  • Investor Relations;
  • Transaction Communications;
  • Corporate Communications;
  • Crisis Communications and;
  • Special Situations Expertise.

You would work with a team of strategic-minded, communications professionals, who also have first-hand capital markets experience, and assist companies in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape and elevating their corporate profiles in increasingly competitive capital markets. NATIONAL Public Relations, Canada’s largest privately held communications firm, is looking for an experienced capital markets professional and strong leader to join our team as Vice-President, Practice Lead, Capital Markets. We are an award-winning, agency whose work and team are making a difference during this global pandemic, and we need a seasoned communications practitioner with strong investor relations and financial communications experience to lead and grow our integrated offering in Toronto.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sit on the management team and be an active participant in fulfilling the vision of the office/Firm;
  • Contribute to the overall culture and professional development of the office and the Firm through employee training, involvement in local and national committee work;
  • Running the day-to-day operations of the Capital Markets practice and have fiscal responsibility for the group;
  • Detail the offering of the practice and ensure topflight services and pricing;
  • Build investor relations and financial communications programs around the needs of clients and modify these strategies as the client’s companies evolve and the client’s needs change;
  • Develop business, both organic and new, while setting and meeting annual targets;
  • Work in close collaboration with other leaders in our office and across our global network and will work in partnership with other practice leads to ensure the integration of the Capital Markets services into relevant client mandates;
  • Put together the right team to win and service business;

  • Lead by example, creating a safe working environment for all members of our team, allowing them to bring their whole self to work each day;

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years in the communications profession, in a senior business position, or in a public relations consulting or staff position
  • Track record in client service excellence and relationship building
  • Deep sectoral knowledge and specialized expertise
