Position Responsibilities:
Will oversee a large network of company service technicians based throughout the U.S. Fleet consists of approximately 500+ vehicles to support operations servicing commercial customers throughout the U.S. Responsible for various client contracts from a wide array of products installed at customer locations. The Vice President will direct and coordinate network wide activities to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations and fleet. Will spearhead an aggressive operating optimization plan. Ultimately responsible for the servicing of on time maintenance and service to the customers per the SLA’s established and communication for exception management due to unforeseen events. This individual will lead the operations management team for the business to achieve growth targets and budgeted profit targets. Ensure operations perform to achieve the business goals of the customers, the safety and welfare of the associates, the career goals of the management team, and the goals of organization and the shareholders. Responsible for establishing metrics, business plan development, and managing organizational structure within Logistics. In addition, review and analyze activities, costs, operations, and forecasted data. Responsibility for up to 5 direct reports and over 500 personnel with operating locations in the United States. Challenge is to manage a world-class operations team, motivating and leading staff while optimizing costs, increasing revenues and improving profitability.

Background Required:
  • Sr. Level Logistics Operations & Network Management and Optimization- within large geography and fleet size (Transportation, Service Maintenance or Value Added Services onsite)
  • Experience in the following areas: Route Optimization, Scheduling, Fleet Management, Exception Management, Technology Proficiency
  • P & L or Cost Center Control responsibility
  • Financial Management (budget, planning, execution, review and assessment)
  • Successfully manage people to achieve performance goals (i.e., conflict resolution, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management)
  • Transportation Routing (Dynamic and Static Routing and Management, Dispatch Operations, Communications)
  • Technology proficient (i.e., Dispatch and Routing software)
  • Ability to Travel: up to 25%
  • Computer Skills (Microsoft Office; Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Residence: Nashville, TN (relocation assistance)
  • Education: College Graduate-BA or BS
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Process Improvement (i.e., Lean, Six Sigma)
  • Maintenance Service Industry knowledgeable
  • Graduate degree (i.e., Masters, MBA, Logistics)
