Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of a full-service, third-party provider of custom logistics solutions for a diverse range of shippers across North America.
The Vice President, Key Accounts will be tasked with consultative transportation management leveraging the organizations operational and technology strengths to provide value beyond price with their clients. The VP is responsible for the proactive development and signing of profitable new business, additional business, and limited participation in startups and transition of project management to a permanent management team. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, negotiation, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Challenge is to expand account base, pursue and close new business, increase revenues and improve profitability.

Background Required:
- Third Party Logistics Transportation Management/Managed Transportation Sales (5+ years)
- Third Party Logistics Business Development selling large complex projects
- Develop and execute business plan strategies (proven track record of success)
- Supply Chain Management software knowledgeable (i.e., TMS, Mercury Gate)
- North America National Accounts Exposure
- Sector/Vertical’s (Industrial, Food & Beverage, CPG)
- Strong Negotiation Ability (Customer, Margin Integrity)
- Contractual Business Process (RFP, RFI, RFQ)
- Develop and execute business plan strategies
- Computer literate (Microsoft Suite: Power Point, Word, Excel)
- Residence: USA (Remote/Home Office)
- Operational understanding of Transportation Management
- Solution Design & Pricing
- Education: College Graduate
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Facilitator with conflict resolution
- Results driven
- Ability to multitask
- Team player (operates through consensus)
