Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to COO for a regional transportation provider.

The Vice President, Information Technology oversees the IT Department to maximize uptime, performance, productivity, services, including network infrastructure, software development, security, data, and application support. Enhances processes, workflows, systems, and services through technology and will lead the development and implementation of IT initiatives. Leads the evaluation of IT products, partners, and associated vendors, including negotiating contracts for services, and facilitate the successful implementation of new technologies. Provides recommendations for hardware and software upgrades, as appropriate, to further improve operations, security and enhance value. Collaborates with the Executive Team and business leaders to identify and implement technology-based solutions for strategic and operational objectives. Ensures the IT Department maintains comprehensive documentation regarding help desk requests, IT assets, system policies and procedures. Develops and manages vendor-partner relationships and ensures accountability. Directs custom program development of TMS, IVR’s.

Background Required:
  • Information Technology Senior Leadership (10 years)
  • Transportation & logistics technology (TMS, Telematics, EDI, Optimization, CRM)

  • Microsoft technology stack

  • Disaster recovery, business continuity planning, incident management.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, Information Systems)
