Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior VP of Enterprise Sales of an asset-based full, service 3PL and a Fortune 500 company.
The Vice President, Enterprise Sales is responsible for the development and implementation of an aggressive growth plan of the Enterprise Sales team. Responsible for developing, directing, and managing the overall activities of enterprise sales team: set and meet budgeted growth, rate, and profitability targets; develop sales team’s sales skills, supply chain knowledge, service knowledge, and sales process; prepare annual, monthly, and weekly plans to ensure each team member understands their individual goals and how they connect to the strategic objectives of the enterprise. Will work in coordination with other company business units, develop the strategic and tactical direction for the unit, establish management processes and metrics for performance, and be accountable for financial and growth performance of the business. Will supervise process improvement internally and in the company’s arrangements with its customers. Will complete necessary planning activities for both short term and long-term goals of the business including budgetary planning, analysis, and review. Challenge is to build a world-class team, develop high-level service offering, motivate and lead staff while optimizing costs, increasing revenues, and maximizing profitability.

Background Required:
  • Progressive responsibility in Transportation Sales environment (7+ years)
  • Sales leadership (Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor) (5+ years)
  • Non-asset sales (brokerage, transportation management) (3+ years)
  • Mode of transportation (i.e. TL, LTL, intermodal, specialized)
  • Developed and execute business plan strategies
  • Driven technology and process improvement (i.e. Brokerage TMS Suite or equal)
  • Developed & managed KPI’s (i.e. on-time performance, margin, data integrity, lane balances)
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (i.e. Logistics, Transportation, Business)
  • Location: USA (relocation assistance)
