Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales/North America for one of the world's leading providers of integrated logistics services offering freight management, customs brokerage, logistics and distribution services with revenues of over $5 billion.
The Vertical Head, Healthcare will lead the Healthcare product and vertical developing strategy for growth, operations & customer service excellence across the America’s. This individual will drive expansion and organic growth of the client base, leveraging and expanding the current Center of Expertise and enhancing training in sales & operations for the product. The Vertical Head will have overall responsibility for driving account strategy and initiatives across the America’s region and will work alongside sales, local and regional management to achieve growth initiatives. Additional responsibilities include developing value propositions and service concepts that create value within the context of the clients’ capabilities. The Vertical Head will serve as the industry subject matter expert and will represent both internally and externally supporting the Healthcare vertical in consultative, strategic, customer focused selling of all products and services in this space.

Background Required:
  • International freight forwarding (10 years)
  • Experience selling supply chain, forwarding & contract logistics solutions
  • Deep knowledge of healthcare, pharma & medical device
  • Pharma compliance, processes & solutions design
  • Knowledge of cool chain, envirotainers, thermo-blankets
  • Global or large account management
  • Complex and consultative sales processes & strategies
  • Travel up to 50%
  • Computer literate (Office 2000 Suite, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
  • Residence: Open
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Bilingual – English & Spanish
  • Forwarding operations
  • Sales management
  • Direct work experience in in either pharma or medical device
  • Education: Master’s degree
Other Essential Abilities and Skills:
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Executive level presentation skills - selling to C-level, VP’s & Directors
  • Proven leadership (with solutions, operations, finance, legal & IT)
  • Establishes strong sense of direction & purpose for the team
