Job Description
Our client, a hospital affiliated outpatient facility located in the Raleigh, NC area, has a need for Vascular Sonographers to join their team.

- $5,000 w/1-year commitment

The Non-invasive vascular technologist must demonstrate competency in the performance of all vascular imaging, such as extracranial, intracranial, abdominal, arterial and vascular peripheral testing. The NIVL technologist must demonstrate the ability to successfully perform vascular studies with high quality following the established lab protocols, review, analyze, and enter pertinent study related information in the digital image review software in preparation for final interpretation by the interpreting physician. The successful technologist will obtain pertinent clinical history and demonstrate the ability to quickly identify critical values which need immediate physician attention. This position also requires the technologist to assist with accreditation and quality assurance activities within the NIVL lab. This staff member is also responsible for assisting physicians, co-workers, patients, families and external customers. Must be knowledgeable in the use of non-invasive vascular testing equipment. The NIVL technologist must demonstrate excellent communication, people, and patient care skills so that the patient experience is enhanced. The technologist is responsible for providing a safe patient care environment with a strong focus on the patient experience for all patients who are undergoing a non-invasive cardiology procedure (Pre, during, and post). Echocardiography skills are a plus but not required.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technology or Radiologic Technology program and registry required.
1-2 years of strong vascular experienced required.
Accepted registries include: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) RVT.
Clinical experience or instruction in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging and experience in a non-invasive cardiovascular lab preferred.
Ability to operate ultrasound equipment and produce quality images and store and retrieve digital images required.
