Salary: $70,489 - $99,360 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound and vascular exams on patients, providing crucial data for medical diagnosis.
- Ensure exam quality and accuracy by evaluating diagnostic information and using professional judgment.
- Engage in specialized procedures such as ultrasound-guided biopsies as part of invasive exam protocols.
- Participate in on-call responsibilities every fourth week, addressing urgent diagnostic needs during evenings and weekends.
- Assist in stress echo and transesophageal echocardiogram (TEE) exams, particularly during weekend on-call hours.
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of approximately 20 other sonographers under the guidance of the Manager of Heart and Vascular Diagnostics.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Certified by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).
- Must hold RDCS or RVT designation as required for specialized vascular and cardiac sonography.
- Demonstrated competence in all diagnostic ultrasound procedures.
- Ability to perform under stress and respond effectively to urgent patient care needs.
- Effective communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient interactions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with stress echo and TEE procedures.
- Pediatric sonography experience.
- More than one year of experience in a similar role, with a demonstrated track record of skill proficiency.
