Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the SVP of Distribution & Logistics for a 50+ year old privately held 3rd Party Logistics provider having established themselves as one of the premier logistics companies in the United States. Their service offerings include warehousing, drayage, brokerage, and other valued added transportation services with a focus in retail, CPG, home goods, and FMCG, electronics, technology, and automotive clients.
The high visible VP of Sales will be responsible for building out a high-performance team in support of an extensive growth plan. The primary focus will be leading a team growing the organization’s warehousing and transportation portfolio. Responsible for training, coaching mentoring within a collaborative environment. Determine the appropriate structure, geographic location, and size for the team to achieve the business objectives. Establishing long-term strategic relationships that typically go beyond the sale of a single point solution. The Vice President of Sales will develop plans to support the achievement of the goals and revenue targets established in the company’s strategic plan. Create a comprehensive sales strategy and business plan for the department with a heavy focus on providers of new and existing clients. Collaborate with internal Operations, Finance and Supply chain solutions teams. Be the "primary" lead for managing Strategic Customer Business Plans, promoting understanding across regions and teams.

Background Required:
  • Sales Management/Team Development within Warehousing/Distribution, Transportation, Freight Forwarding and Drayage. (15 plus years’ Experience)
  • Lead world class sales organization in logistics and supply chain vertical
  • Sales Leadership (Interview, Hire, Train, Coach, Mentor)
  • Sector Experience-CPG, Home Goods, FMCG industries
  • Solution-based Sales Approach
  • Computer literate: 10+ years’ experience Sales Force, Dynamics other technologies
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Residence: Southern California/ Remote
