Description
We are looking for a dedicated and analytical VP of Sales to join our organization. The person will oversee and direct a diverse team of sales professionals to meet or exceed the company’s sales revenue goals and contribute to the overall profitability of our company.

The ideal candidate is expected to possess or rapidly gain an extensive understanding of both our products, programs and customer base to effectively lead our team’s aggressive growth plan. In this role, you must be comfortable in a fast- paced environment, with strong planning and pipeline management skills that delivers on weekly, monthly and annual sales goals in all channels. You must also possess both hard and soft leadership skills to lead and develop our sales management team.

Reports to the President.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Set and achieve stated Company sales goals.
• Support and develop the sales management team consisting of National Sales Manager-Team, National Sales Manager- Ad Specialty, Sales Director -New Business Development, eCommerce Manager, along with, our team of company sales representatives and independent sales representatives.
• Provide collaboration, mentorship, coaching, and training to entire team, continually assessing strengths and opportunities of team members. Work hands on with the sales teams to assure their growth and development.
• Work with our sales managers to assure we have strategies and tactics to proactively solicit and secure business from new and prospective clients using proven sales strategies aligned with the company brand and vision.
• Monitor the market and competitor products & activities to provide detailed sales forecasting with the product building timely and effective marketing efforts.
• Develop sales programs, show specials and sales promotions with input from the sales team and customers.
• Review customer activity and feedback, anticipate consumer needs, to improve customer satisfaction.
• Provide customer feedback to the leadership team at company meetings to help achieve goals.
• Set and ensure the sales team achieves all sales objectives set.
• Work with the team of senior leaders to achieve companywide objectives and strategic priorities.
• Collaborate across the organization to ensure synergy among sales, marketing and operations activity.

REQUIRMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a sales leadership position - within the sporting goods industry preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of selling strategies and methods, as well as employee motivation techniques.
• High energy level and ability to impart enthusiasm and urgency to staff.
• Ability to manage and interact energetically and positively with diverse staff and customer base.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skill.
• Thorough understanding of operation aspects of manufacturing and distribution business
• High level of proficiency with information technology.
• Great strategic planning, organizational, and creative thinking skills.
