VP of Sales

Job Description
Client Summary:
  • Healthcare AI company purpose-built for hospital environments, using advanced machine learning to forecast patient care needs and deterioration risks
  • Provides clinical decision support tools including triage optimization, diagnostic predictions, patient summaries, and automated documentation assistance
  • Delivers real-time, data-driven insights directly within clinical workflows to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency
  • Founded by practicing emergency physicians and built on NIH-funded research with a strong clinical and scientific foundation
  • Early-stage company positioned in the growing hospital AI and predictive analytics market with a focus on scalability and measurable impact
Position Responsibilities:
  • You'll lead all commercial activity at Capacity Health, with direct ownership over revenue, strategy, and team development. Day to day, that looks like:
  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle — from warm introduction through contract execution — at major health systems and hospital groups
  • Build and refine a repeatable GTM playbook for enterprise hospital sales, including discovery, demo, ROI framing, procurement, and IT integration
  • Navigate complex, multi-stakeholder buying processes involving clinical, operational, financial, IT, compliance, and procurement leaders
  • Partner directly with the co-founders to align sales strategy with product development and company milestones
  • Manage and develop the existing part-time sales resource; scale the team as the company grows
  • Lead conversations with hospital CFOs, COOs, CMIOs, and IT leadership to articulate clinical outcomes and financial ROI
  • Represent Capacity Health at industry events, conferences, and health system forums
  • Establish early-stage sales infrastructure: CRM, reporting, territory planning, and forecasting

Experience & Skills:
Required Experience and Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of enterprise healthcare sales experience, with a strong track record selling hospital software to health system executives
  • Deep familiarity with hospital operations — patient flow, bed management, throughput, length of stay, and capacity utilization
  • Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder hospital sales processes (clinical, IT, operational, and financial decision-makers)
  • Experience as an early commercial hire at a growth-stage company — you've helped build a sales function, not just run one that already existed
  • Player-coach mentality: comfortable carrying a quota while simultaneously building strategy and developing a team
  • Strong understanding of hospital IT environments, security requirements, and compliance processes
  • Willingness to travel regularly across the Midwest, South, and Southeast U.S.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; clinical or operational healthcare background a plus
Compensation $175k, Medical, Dental, Vision. Twenty days of vacation, plus Sick/PTO/parental leave as per state regulations and company policy. Life/Disability/401(k) will be added with the next raise.
