Vice President of Sales
Overview
We are seeking a hands-on, highly tactical VP of Sales to lead and scale a growing sales organization selling agentic AI solutions to community banks and credit unions — their technology is designed to help financial institutions manage customer service more efficiently through AI-powered agents. This leader will report directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) and take immediate ownership of the current sales team, with full responsibility for execution, performance, and growth.
This is not an ivory-tower role. The ideal candidate thrives in the details of the business — hiring, coaching, deal strategy, pipeline inspection, forecasting — while building a disciplined, high-performing sales culture.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Execution
- Lead a sales organization with 5 direct reports, including Regional Vice Presidents (RVPs) who manage:
- Account Executives
- Sales Engineers
- BDR’s
- Take immediate ownership of the existing sales team, driving consistency, accountability, and performance
- Operate as a Coach, deeply involved in:
- Deal reviews
- Pipeline inspection and forecasting
- Win/loss analysis
- Pricing and negotiation strategy
Coaching, Hiring & Development
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop top-tier sales talent across regions
- Establish a rigorous coaching cadence (1:1s, call reviews, deal strategy sessions)
- Raise the bar on execution, professionalism, and sales discipline
- Build a repeatable sales motion that works within long, complex, relationship-driven buying cycles
Pipeline, Process & Reporting
- Own detailed pipeline management and forecasting accuracy
- Partner closely with CRO on revenue targets, planning, and go-to-market execution
- Implement and enforce sales process rigor (CRM hygiene, stage definitions, deal qualification)
- Maintain high attention to detail across reporting, metrics, and execution
Customer & Market Engagement
- Be highly effective in front of customers, including:
- Executive-level meetings
- Strategic deal support
- Complex buying committees (operations, IT, digital, fraud, compliance, and C-suite)
- Understand the nuances of selling into regulated financial institutions
- Represent the company as a credible, trusted partner to bank and credit union leaders
Ideal Background & Experience
Required Experience
- 10+ years of sales experience with technology companies selling into banks and credit unions
- Prior experience leading regional sales teams with multiple layers (RVPs → AEs → SEs)
- Proven success selling complex B2B SaaS or fintech solutions with longer sales cycles (chatbots, conversational AI, agentic AI, Digital Banking, Account Opening, digital communications, customer engagement platforms )
- Strong understanding of:
- Bank and credit union buying processes
- Multi-stakeholder, consensus-driven sales
- Regulatory and compliance considerations

Target Market: Banks and Credit Unions
Location: Remote Office in the US
Compensation: Base + Commissions + Equity + 100% paid medical, dental, vision Benefits
Travel: up to 50%
