Job Description

Our client, an international furniture manufacturer and distributor located in the Allentown, PA area, has a immediate need for an experience VP of Quality Assurance.

Duties Include:

Running the day-to-day quality operations.
Developing & maintaining the Quality Management System of the company.
Develop and continuously improve a customer-focused quality improvement strategy Champions continuous improvement efforts and defect reduction initiatives
Train and utilize Lean Sigma methodology
Establish an effective standardization process (SOP, standard work, job instruction, process controls) and accountable for its results.
Support supplier quality management including evaluation of supplier quality data to identify process improvements and opportunities.
Establishes and implements various training programs
Develop effective quality plan and assures timely execution within budget and with expected results.
Lead quality organization and the quality assurance program. Establishes effective quality management system Reviews and standardizes control plans, closed loop corrective action systems and quality management systems in all plants. Develops and administers audit plan to verify plant adherence to FDC quality management system.
Assure supplier quality by enforcing quality assurance standards, policies and indstry/government requirements.
Collaborate with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs and manufacturing and training methods.
Prepare product and process quality reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Provide cost of quality. Leads quality organization and defines areas of responsibility, personnel requirements and operational procedures within the quality assurance program.
Provide performance management for quality staff.

Requirements Include:

Bachelors Degree in engineering, manufacturing technology or Business Administration (related technical discipline may be considered).
Minimum of 5 years in leadership role in quality improvement .
Demonstrated problem solver with direct experience coaching, teaching, and applying six sigma and lean manufacturing techniques.
Six Sigma or CQE required (ASQ or equivalent).
Additionally, Lean Certification preferred.
