We’re seeking a dynamic and visionary Vice President of Property Management to lead our property management and leasing operations. Key Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of property management staff, including troubleshooting issues, optimizing workflows, and overseeing crisis management.
- Lead the residential leasing process, ensuring all aspects of leasing operations meet compliance standards and align with company goals.
- Review rent rolls, proposals, contracts, and expenditures with property managers to ensure profitability and compliance with the owner’s directives.
- Manage pricing strategies for new leases and renewals, ensuring the correct pricing structure is in place based on market research and property performance.
- Mentor and evaluate performance of direct reports, ensuring growth and high standards of service.
- Maintain constant communication with property owners, keeping them informed about key operational and financial updates.
- Review financial reports and make recommendations to optimize expenses and revenue generation.
- Drive projects to completion by due dates and ensure material changes are communicated to property owners and accounting teams.
- Oversee maintenance requests, emergency response protocols, and vendor management, ensuring operational efficiency and cost control.
- Approve bills, review credits, and handle delinquencies in collaboration with property management and accounting teams.
- Address escalated tenant issues and coordinate with legal counsel as necessary for tenant disputes or legal matters.
- Ensure proper documentation of incidents, complaints, and resolutions.
- Supervise leasing teams to ensure that all properties maintain an updated vacancy book and track turnover data.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property management and leasing, with at least 10 years in a leadership role.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Strong understanding of residential leasing laws and regulations, including Fair Housing and Housing Assistance Programs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and respond to changing priorities.
- A deep commitment to customer service, operational excellence, and team development.
- Active New Jersey Real Estate License.
