Position Summary

Our client is hiring a VP of Investment Banking (Hybrid – Cleveland, OH) to oversee mergers and acquisitions, valuations, due diligence, and financial modeling. This role requires strong investment banking background and experience managing both buy-side and sell-side processes. The VP will work directly with executive teams, private equity firms, and corporate clients on complex transactions.

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead deal execution for M&A transactions, providing strategic guidance and financial analysis
• Manage due diligence, quality of earnings review, and transaction documentation
• Build and review financial models, valuation analyses, and market research
• Partner with executives and finance leaders throughout the transaction lifecycle
• Support the development of pitch materials, proposals, and strategic presentations
• Manage communication, data room setup, and coordination between client teams, legal counsel, and third parties
• Oversee junior team members and ensure high-quality deliverables

Qualifications

• Significant experience in investment banking, M&A, or transaction advisory
• CPA required
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, valuation techniques, and deal structures
• Experience managing both buy-side and sell-side engagements
• Ability to present to senior executives and facilitate high-level discussions
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple active transactions
