One of our more prestigious clients has requested assistance in seeking a Vice President of Information Technology to join their growing organization.
Are you ready to lead digital transformation in a high-impact role? We’re seeking an innovative and strategic leader to build and scale their IT operations from the ground up. This is a rare opportunity to design and implement the entire technology roadmap while staying hands-on in ensuring the reliability of day-to-day systems and user support. As a key leadership team member, you'll be vital in aligning technology initiatives with business goals, driving operational excellence, and enabling more intelligent decision-making across the organization.

- A visionary IT leader with deep experience in the oil and gas industry
- Expertise in sector-specific platforms such as ODA (accounting), WellEz (drilling operations), and Peloton (production & field data)
- Proven ability to build, lead, and scale IT operations and infrastructure
- A strategic thinker who can craft and execute a long-term IT roadmap that supports business growth while delivering immediate value
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop and execute a strategic IT roadmap to support the company’s growth and operational goals following its transition to public markets
- Lead all aspects of IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business systems, ensuring stability, security, and scalability
- Oversee and support a small, agile internal IT team, while managing third-party vendors and contractors as needed
- Drive integration and optimization of systems, including ODA, WellEz, and Peloton, ensuring cross-functional alignment and data integrity
- Serve as a key business partner to Finance, Operations, and Executive Leadership, translating business needs into technology solutions
- Ensure IT compliance with public company requirements including SOX readiness and cybersecurity protocols
- Maintain a hands-on leadership style, willing to roll up sleeves and troubleshoot or lead initiatives directly when needed
- Identify opportunities for automation, reporting enhancements, and system improvements to increase efficiency and data visibility
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with at least 5 years in the oil & gas industry
- Strong knowledge of upstream operations and relevant software platforms: ODA, WellEz, and Peloton
- Demonstrated experience in building IT roadmaps and scaling systems to support rapid growth
- Experience supporting a newly public or public company, including compliance, audit, and cybersecurity best practices; communicate and leadership skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
