This is a foundational leadership hire with the opportunity to build and own the entire people function ahead of significant growth.

The Opportunity

This is not a maintenance HR role—this is a true builder opportunity.

The VP of HR will partner directly with the CEO and executive team to:

  • Architect and scale the People function from the ground up
  • Drive organizational design, hiring strategy, and culture development
  • Establish the infrastructure needed to support rapid growth (sub-50 → 150+ employees)
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to leadership on all people-related initiatives

As the company scales, this individual is expected to transition into the Chief People Officer, owning the full people strategy at the executive level.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, including:
    • VP of HR / Head of People / Director-level stepping up
  • Proven experience scaling organizations from:
    • ~50 employees to 150–300+
  • Background in:
    • SaaS, GovTech, public safety, or regulated industries strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success building:
    • Talent acquisition strategy
    • Compensation frameworks (base, bonus, equity)
    • Performance management systems
  • Experience working in:
    • High-growth, VC or PE-backed environments

Key Responsibilities

People Strategy & Leadership

  • Define and execute the company-wide people strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Partner with executive leadership on organizational planning and workforce strategy
  • Build and mentor the HR function as the company scales

Talent Acquisition & Scaling

  • Design and implement a scalable recruiting engine across technical, GTM, and leadership roles
  • Partner with external firms (including Peskind Executive Search) to accelerate hiring
  • Establish best practices for candidate experience and employer branding

Organizational Design & Performance

  • Lead org design, leveling, and workforce planning initiatives
  • Implement performance management frameworks aligned with company growth
  • Support leadership development and succession planning
