Great Client seeking a VP of Engineering. This role will need to wear many hats and need to still be hands-on with design work.

Engineering Department Leadership:

• Manage and supervise the engineering team, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and standardization. Oversee project management and maintain strong customer relations, focusing on scheduling and budgeting.​

Departmental Growth:

• Support sales and marketing efforts to develop new customers. Provide application engineering expertise and budget estimates for project proposals.​

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.​
• At least five years of experience in machine design or similar fields.​
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and familiarity with drafting standards and configuration management.​
• A minimum of five years in program or project management.​

Role Expectations:

• Initially, focus on understanding departmental operations before implementing changes.​
• Aim to transform the role into a profit center by attracting new customers and ensuring high-quality engineering work.​
• Potential for advancement to General Manager in the future.​

Technical Focus:

• The company specializes in moderately complex, single-machine designs, typically completing three machines annually. A strong background in machine design and expertise in SolidWorks are essential.​

Project Management:

• Responsibilities include writing proposals, acting as the primary contact during project kickoffs, managing design and design reviews, and coordinating with regulatory requirements.​

Work Schedule:

• This is a 100% on-site position with a standard eight-hour workday, offering flexibility in start and end times.

Compensation: $150K-$180K Salary
