Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the SVP Logistics for a leading provider of integrated logistics services. Will be responsible for the management, development and signing of profitable new business, additional business, and maintaining current accounts specifically within the Managed Transportation/Freight Management solution. Coordinates complete sales cycle process including prospect list initiation, lead generation, prospect qualification, analysis, pricing, proposal preparation and presentation(s), contract signing, start-up and customer service follow-up after the sale. Will also lead and build a sales team. Challenge is to expand account base, increase revenues and improve profitability.

Background Required:
  • Demonstrated successful sales achievement selling Managed Transportation/Freight Management Solutions to large scale organizations.
  • Solutions sales, consultative approach
  • Sector experience (Chemical, Fuels, Food and Specialty Products)
  • Develop and execute account-based business plan strategies.
  • Team development (hire, coach, train)
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals.
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Transportation management technology proficient (TMS)
  • Proficiency (Office, Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Travel: 50%
  • Education: College Graduate-BA or BS
  • Residence: Canton, OH (Relocation assistance)
Background Preferred (but not required):
  • Education: Master’s degree: MBA
