Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the CEO for a growing third-party logistics company with best-in-class technology offering valued added services in logistics management, 3PL, supply chain management, dry van, dedicated, and expedited freight.
The VP International NVOCC has the overall responsibility to create, implement and grow the NVOCC division for our client. This individual will be key in developing and driving strategies and implementing processes following all NVOCC regulations. Will be the Qualifying Individual for our client’s organization and will be accountable for creating and maintaining carrier relationships and negotiating contracts with shipping lines and neutral NVO’s. The VP will collaborate with senior management to develop best practices and will assist sales and other internal departments with product training. The challenge is to build a world-class, profitable ocean offering for our client.

Background Required:
- International freight forwarding or NVOCC (10+ years)
- Track record of Ocean product development (import & export)
- Ability to attain Federal Maritime Certification
- Thorough understanding of FMC rules & regulations
- Excellent Ocean carrier relationships
- Ocean procurement & pricing, negotiations, contracts
- Financial acumen (P&L, balance sheet, forecasting, budgets)
- LCL Ocean consolidation
- Established standard operating procedures & metrics
- Computer literate: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Residence: USA
- Strong commercial acumen
- Domestic freight forwarding
- Customs brokerage
- Advanced Degree –MBA
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Strong relationship building skills
- Continuous improvement mindset
