Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the President of an asset-based full service 3PL providing customized solutions in supply chain management, warehousing, and truck brokerage.
The VP, Human Resources will be the strategic and tactical business partner providing support, counsel, and advice on human resource strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives. Responsible for planning and directing all aspects of Human Resources policies, objectives, and initiatives with staff to support organizational development, recruiting, training, on-boarding, compensation, benefits, employee development, employee relations, governmental & legal, risk management and HR information systems (HRIS). Maintains working knowledge on current Human Resources trends and best practices. Objective is to support fast organizational growth.

Background Required:
  • Progressive Sr. Human Resources functional role with large geography and labor force within Warehousing and Freight Brokerage (7+ years)
  • Coaches’ leadership team in areas of corrective counseling, performance management and employment practices and new company initiatives.
  • On-boarding, Training & Development of new employees
  • Benefits & Insurance Management and Policies, Legal, Workers Compensation
  • Labor Law compliance (EEOC, OSHA, FMLA)
  • HR Information Systems (HRIS) knowledgeable
  • Employee Recruitment Strategies i.e. (college/university/professional recruiting efforts, print/media)
  • PHR, SPHR or GPHR certification
  • Familiar with the Logistics, Supply Chain or Manufacturing with large labor workforce
  • Computer literate (Microsoft suite, Power Point, Word, Excel)
  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Travel: Up to 25%
