We are looking for a VP of Cloud Engineering to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a forward-thinking technology executive to lead the organization’s cloud strategy, architecture, and engineering functions. You will drive the design and execution of scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud environments while enabling innovation across the business.
The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of hands-on cloud expertise, strategic leadership, and experience scaling engineering teams in modern, distributed environments.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise cloud strategy and roadmap
- Lead and scale cloud engineering and platform teams
- Oversee cloud architecture across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments
- Drive cloud migration, modernization, and optimization initiatives
- Establish best practices for DevOps, automation, and infrastructure as code
- Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and performance standards
- Partner with executive leadership to align cloud capabilities with business goals
- Optimize cloud cost management and operational efficiency
- Manage vendor relationships and cloud platform partnerships
Qualifications
- 12+ years of IT experience, with significant leadership in cloud engineering
- Proven experience leading large-scale cloud transformations
- Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Expertise in cloud architecture, microservices, and distributed systems
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, containers, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Strong understanding of cloud security and compliance frameworks
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
